FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: electrolyzer is made of enclosure, lining, two electrolytic compartments and collecting cell arranged between them. Cathodes brought through longitudinal wall and graphite-coated anodes brought through bottom of electrolyzer are located in electrolytic compartments. Collecting cell is separated from electrolytic compartments by separating partitions with upper and lower overflow ducts. Partition is composed of modules interconnected by upper edge of cathode with the use of additional modules. Additional modules are positioned opposite to butts of anodes, they are equal to thickness of graphite layer and are joined to modules by locks. Electrolytic compartments are closed by ceiling. EFFECT: unification of modules of separating partition for decreasing specific consumption of energy and to diminish labor input to manufacture of electrolyzer. 3 cl, 2 dwg
