FIELD: peak-load hot-water boiler plants; heat-power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method of operation of peak-load hot-water boiler plant consists in heating the heating-system water in hot-water boiler and directing it to consumers; leakage of heating-system water in heating system is compensated for by make-up water which is prepared in vacuum deaerator. Starting water and heating agent are fed to deaerator; before supply the heating agent to vacuum deaerator and make-up water to heating-system pipe line they are heated in succession by waste gases of hot-water boiler; heating agent is heated first in way of flow of waste gases.
