FIELD: means for independent measurement of velocity of moving objects, applicable for measurement of the speed of movement of vehicles on the road.

SUBSTANCE: the meter has a means for radiation of a microwave signal of the preset frequency and reception of the signal reflected from the moving object in the form of a transceiving antenna, waveguide-turnstile converter, semiconductor oscillator, phase shifter, mixer and a Doppler signal preamplifier, information processing unit made in the form of an analog-0to-digital converter and a signal processor, the first output of the semiconductor oscillator is connected to the input of the waveguide-turnstile converter, whose first output is connected to the transceiving antenna, and the second output - to the first input of the mixer, connected to whose second input is the second output of the semiconductor oscillator, and the third output of the semiconductor oscillator via the phase shifter is connected to the third input of the mixer, besides, the two-channel output of the mixer is connected to the inputs of the Doppler signal preamplifier, whose outputs are connected to the inputs of the analog-to-digital converter, whose outputs are connected to the inputs of the signal processor, whose output is connected to the control input of the semiconductor oscillator, the signal processor is connected to the control and display unit, the meter may be provided with a regulating amplifier connected between the Doppler signal preamplifier and the analog-to-digital converter.
