SUBSTANCE: decoding method is suggested for at least one coding unit out of video bitstream. The method includes the stage whereat structure of the coding unit is defined for at least one coding unit out of video bitstream, at that structure of the coding unit describes division of the coding unit into at least one coding unit and division of at least one coding unit into multitude of prediction units. The method also includes the stage whereat according to the defined structure of the coding unit arithmetically coded flag of the most probable mode for each prediction unit is decoded in at least one coding unit of the first data package of adjacent coded data in the bitstream.

EFFECT: improved productivity at data processing during video coding or decoding due to parallel reading of adjacent bins provided that each bin is coded traversal.
