FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 4-oxoalkane-1,1,2,2-tetracarbonitriles of general formula (A), which can be used as starting compounds for synthesis of different heterocyclic structures. In general formula (A) R1=R2=Me, R3= H (A1); R1= , R2=R3=H (A2); R1+R2=, R3=H (A3); R1+R2=(CH2)5, R3=H (A4); R1+R2=(CH2)6, R3=H (A5); R1=Ph, R2=Me, R3=H (A6); R1=4-Cl-C6H4, R2=Me, R3=H (A7); R1=4-MeOC6H4, R2=Me, R3=H (A8); R1=R2=Ph, R3=H (A9); R1=, R2=R3=H (A10). Proposed method comprises heating mixture of tetracyanoethylene and corresponding ketone in equimolar amounts. Method is as follows: mixture is further added with p-toluene sulphonic acid while heating at temperature of 50-60°C until complete dissolution of tetracyanoethylene in obtained melt of p-toluene sulphonic acid and ketone with subsequent crystallisation of target product.
EFFECT: method enables reaction without solvent, as well as reduce process duration.
