FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: engine exhaust reduction method includes a step of adjusting the fuel injection output based on the partial oxidation state of the catalytic converter. In this case, the partial oxidation state is based on the reaction rates of a plurality of exhaust gas particles along the longitudinal axis of the catalytic converter and a set of axial averaged mass balance and energy balance equations for the fluid phase and the porous catalytic converter coating. Also, a method variation for reducing engine exhaust and a system for reducing engine exhaust are proposed.
EFFECT: reduction of treatment resources for the catalytic converter model, improvement of emission control by maintaining the catalytic converter in the required partial oxidation state.
