FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for detection of structural rearrangements of the tumor cells (chimeric genes) genome determining the selection of therapy and prediction in acute leukosis in children, using RT-PCR with subsequent hybridization with an oligonucleotide biological microchip (biochip). Detection of these translocations in the bone marrow tumor cells is the standard of modern diagnosis of leukemia and is used in most modern protocols for patients division to risk groups and selection of therapy, including high-dose cytotoxic drug therapy and/or bone marrow transplantation.
EFFECT: invention allows to identify 22 known chimeric genes.
