FIELD: optical fiber.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to optical fiber and an optical fiber lace. Optical fiber comprises glass fiber and a resin coating layer that covers the outer periphery of the glass fiber in which the resin coating layer has a color layer having a thickness of 10 mcm or more, and the resin coating layer 16 contains from 0.06 to 1.8 % by weight of the titanium element, and the optical fiber lace comprises a plurality of optical fibers arranged in parallel, wherein the plurality of optical fibers are connected by a connecting material.
EFFECT: absence of peeling of the dye during the separation into separate optical fibers of an optical fiber lace and, as a result, the layer of the resin coating will be sufficiently strengthened.
