FIELD: optical fiber.

SUBSTANCE: optical fiber contains glass fiber including a core and a shell, a primary resin layer being in contact with glass fiber and covering glass fiber, and a secondary resin layer covering the primary resin layer. The primary resin layer contains a cured product of a resin composition containing oligourethane(meth)acrylate, monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, and an aromatic acidic compound. The content of the aromatic acidic compound is 20 ppm or more and 12,000 ppm or less per the total amount of the resin composition, and Young modulus of the primary resin layer is 0.6 MPa or less at 23°C±2°C. At the same time, the aromatic acidic compound contains diphenylphosphinic acid and trimethyl benzoic acid.
