FIELD: fibres.
SUBSTANCE: optical fibre constitutes glass fibre containing a core and a shell, a primary resin layer in contact with the glass fibre and covering the glass fibre, and a secondary resin layer covering the primary resin layer. The secondary resin layer consists of a cured product of a resin composition containing oligouretane(meth)acrylate, a monomer and a photopolymerisation initiator, and hydrophobic silicon dioxide particles. The content of silicon dioxide particles is 1 wt.% or more and 60 wt.% or less as calculated for the total amount of the resin composition, and the glass transition point of the secondary resin layer is 60°C or higher and 120°C or lower.
EFFECT: improvement in the characteristics of the optical fibre at lateral pressure and reduction in the void formation in the optical fibre.
