SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the rail vehicle. Rail vehicle comprises at least one sensor unit (18.1–18.8) for sensing at least one parameter that is characteristic of inherent vehicle dynamics which can be controlled by the driver of the vehicle. Rail vehicle also comprises data processing unit (24) for determining, in the course of vehicle movement, a predicted wear value for a certain period of time, or for a certain, not yet traversed path section, by processing data based on said at least one parameter, and a data output unit for continuously outputting information for the driver from the predicted wear parameter value.

EFFECT: improved functionality for the rail vehicle that can be obtained during its movement.
