FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a radiation-attenuating material, a neutron-moderating material for use in a boron-neutron capturing therapy (BNCT) beam forming unit. Material which slows neutrons contains three elements, i.e. Mg, Al and F, where weight fraction of element Mg ranges from 3.5 to 37.1 wt%, mass fraction of element Al ranges from 5 to 90.4 wt% and weight fraction of element F ranges from 5.8 to 67.2 wt%; sum of elements Mg, Al and F elements weight makes 100 wt% of total mass of neutron moderating material.
EFFECT: invention has the best effective depth of tumor treatment.
