FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ultrasonic diagnostics, and can be used to determine bone callus rigidity by ultrasonic shearing wave elastography. Examination is carried out on ultrasonic scanners equipped with a Shear Wave Elastography option, using linear transducers with frequency 2-15 MHz, in V-mode, and color Doppler mapping (CDM) mode. Ultrasonic sensor is installed in the projection of the zone of interest. Active position scanning is performed. Position of the sensor is fixed, the mode of ultrasonic shearing wave elastography (USWE), the musculo-skeletal system program is included. Sections of different stiffness are mapped by different colors, which is reflected on the color scale of the monitor. Rotating the trackball, one or several control volumes freely movable and variable in size are brought into the zone of interest. Quantitative stiffness values in kPa are displayed on the monitor.

EFFECT: method provides determining bone callus rigidity by using shear wave ultrasonic elastography.
