SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vehicle and an autonomous driving system. The vehicle contains an autonomous driving system and a vehicle platform. The vehicle platform controls the vehicle in response to a command received from the autonomous driving system. The autonomous driving system transmits to the vehicle platform a command including a first command to request a gear range change to another. The autonomous driving system receives a first signal indicating the state of autonomous mode or manual mode and a second signal indicating the direction of travel of the vehicle, and when the first signal indicates autonomous mode, the vehicle platform performs the gear change requested by the first command only when the second signal indicates a stop.

EFFECT: invention improves the safety of driving a vehicle.
