FIELD: radiolocation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radiolocation with radio wave frequency selection (FS) and can be used in on-board (e.g. automobile) radar sensors (RS) designed to detect moving targets, measure the distance thereto and determine the speed and direction of movement. The technical result of the proposed method is achieved by increasing the number of switchable frequencies of probing radio signals, excluding the results of signal processing affected by noise and averaging the obtained data when determining the parameters of target movement. This leads to increasing the reliability of target detection under the influence of interference fading of radio signals due to the presence of re-reflections thereof from the underlying surface and increasing the accuracy of determining the parameters of target movement.

EFFECT: increased resistance of RS with FS to the effects of active noise caused by reception of radio signals from other RS's and to the effects of noise related to re-reflection of radio signals from the underlying surface.
