FIELD: antenna technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna technology, namely to devices for focusing radio waves of the terahertz and millimeter ranges. The expected result is achieved by the fact that the lens, consisting of a grid of sequentially arranged flat parallel metal plates mounted at an angle to the incident radiation and with the same distances between the plates, differs in that it is made in the form of a cuboid with an edge size of at least , where is the wavelength of the radiation used, in which metal flat plates are placed, curved at the same angle, with their vertices coaxially arranged and located along the optical axis of the lens, with a distance between the plates of no more than and an effective refractive index lying in the range of approximately 1.4 to 2.
EFFECT: creation of a lens with flat surfaces and small dimensions that retains its operability in acoustics.
