FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Method includes treating limbal-scleral staphyloma in children, at that, first, transcleral cyclophotocoagulation is carried out, and then a session of UV cross-linking of scleral collagen in the staphyloma area against the background of installations of 0.1% riboflavin solution 20 minutes before the procedure at power 2 mW/cm2, exposure 5 minutes, every 2–4 days session of UVA-crosslinking is repeated until complete flattening of sclera staphyloma.
EFFECT: invention provides a short-term reduction of intraocular pressure with simultaneous restoration of the integrity of the fibrous capsule of the eye, improves the appearance of the child’s eyeball and improves the child’s quality of life.
