METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY IN PREMATURE NEWBORNS BORN AT 32 WEEKS OF GESTATION AND LESS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B5/153

Abstract RU 2817171 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neonatology and neonatal resuscitation. In premature newborns born at 32 weeks of gestation or less, the creatinine level dynamics is assessed between the first day of life and any subsequent day of the first week of life. If the ratio is less than 10%, no acute kidney injury is stated in the child. If change is 10% or more, the probability of developing acute renal injury is stated.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of assessment of probability of acute kidney injury in premature newborns, to reduce frequency of blood sampling for analysis of creatinine level, provides the possibility of timely correction of the therapy regimen, prevention of kidney tissue damage.
