FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: described is an integrative plasmid vector pVEAL2-B7, which provides expression and secretion of recombinant protein B7 of smallpox virus in mammalian cells, having size of 10019 bp. Also described is a recombinant strain of the Chinese hamster ovary cell line CHO-K1-B7 - producer of recombinant protein B7 of smallpox virus, and recombinant smallpox virus protein B7 produced by said recombinant strain.

EFFECT: constructing such an integrative plasmid vector pVEAL2-B7, containing a nucleotide sequence coding an ectodomain of the variola virus B7 protein with His-tag and Avi-tag on the C-terminus of the protein, and obtaining such a recombinant strain of a producer cell line, which would provide the production of recombinant protein B7, which retains post-translational modifications characteristic of the viral protein.
