FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for cytometric analysis of a sample. Method involves pre-incubation of a sample with a suspension of carbon quantum dots conjugated with an antibody against a cell marker, and analysing the obtained sample with a cytometer, detecting the fluorescent signal of the carbon quantum dots as a measure of the expression of the cell marker on the surface of the cells. Carbon quantum dots are conjugated with an antibody against a cell marker by planting said antibody on the surface of carbon quantum dots by adding a salt to a solution containing said antibody and a suspension of carbon quantum dots.

EFFECT: invention provides a method for cytometric analysis using labels which are not subject to photodegradation effects, having small dimensions, which are compatible with standard cytometers and which enable their easy conjugation with biological receptors which recognize the desired targets in a microscopic sample.
